The Handbook

NOZOMI’s New Look – As featured in ‘The Handbook’ , September 2014

Forget January, September is the month of new starts, a new season, that inevitable going back to school feeling and after a summer of alfresco drinking we have just enough time to detox before we’re back to partying for Christmas. Luxury restaurant, Nozomi has also had a new start by undergoing a bit of a transformation.

Open for lunch and dinner, Nozomi clients vary from the well-heeled, discerning local residents to international travellers, and well-known celebrities such as Jay Z, Rihanna,Jennifer Lawrence, and Usain Bolt to name a few, but rather than contemporary fame they’ve looked to the 1920’s Art Deco movement for inspiration for their new interior. The restaurant features a silver bar, dark wooden floors, silver cushions, a panoramic glass atrium ceiling and sumptuous leather banquettes whilst the front of house cocktail bar includes a stunning black, granite counter and bespoke silver-grey leather seating.

To go alongside their new interior they’ve also created a new autumn and winter menu using the freshest seafood, inspired by contemporary Japanese favourites including black code, Wagyu beef and lobster tempura. If you’re taking the pre-Christmas detox seriously then there is also a special Superfood menu which is available on request.

If you can’t get down to the restaurant then fear not as they are also now offering a delivery service to those in the South West and central London (give them a call to find out if they can deliver to you), the first of its kind, a five star restaurant delivering five star service. So if you can’t face another sandwich, don’t want to go out for dinner or you’ve exhausted all the options in the vicinity then why not order five-star sushi?  The Handbook did just that, ordering a lunch time feast, stand out dishes for us were the prawn tempura maki, the salmon sashimi and the black cod maki – so if you’re not sure what to order then take our word for it! A word of warning if you’re a vegetarian and ask for them to send vegetarian options then make sure you specify whether you eat fish or not, as we made this mistake and all our vegetarian options included fish. That aside the delivery service was excellent and the sushi could not be faulted.
